You may have heard of us but do you know that for over 25 years we have run a Mini/Junior-Rugby section for under 6s’ right through to under 17s’ for both boys and girls. We are in fact Luton’s ONLY Community Rugby Club and the only one in Bedfordshire with the ‘Year 3 Seal of Approval’. Our club sponsorship has grown again this season with several new sponsors.
Yet again we are leading the way in the community with our links to grassroots rugby. Not only have we increased our school/club partnerships in the town but we have now signed the first Scout Group – club partnership in the UK with the Someries District Scout Group and will start by hosting the Someries District Tag Rugby Cup in July. We hope to expand this by signing up a local community to the club and offering rugby to all levels in all areas of the town.
Our close link with the Saracens has meant that we have taken part in pre-match activities, including the Guard of Honour as well as playing pre-match and half-time games in front of over 9000 people at Vicarage Road. This partnership will grow in 07 / 08.
Whatever your skill, shape, size or experience level, we have a place for you at Stockwood Park. It does not matter if you are just starting, experienced or do not believe that you are especially talented, our experienced and fully qualified coaches will teach you how to play rugby to the best of your ability.
The support and involvement of parents and friends is encouraged and appreciated. We always welcome additional help with training or catering in addition to the support of the players from the touchline. If you are interested in helping please contact us.
Rugby is a social game and a sport for all and we aim to ensure that all players have fun on and off the pitch. We pride ourselves on the family atmosphere of the club and new members, visitors, spectators, wives, girlfriends and children are most welcome. In addition to post-match social activities we run a number of special social events such as quiz nights, discos, BBQs, horse racing evenings and a Christmas and an end of season party.
